Production Design. About me.
With fifteen years of experience in the film industry, I bring a high level of professionalism, ingenuity, and cooperative spirit to each project. I often work on-location in new places, and have experience with large budgets like Paramount's
Yellowstone, as well as features and commercials.
My favorite sets are those grounded in authenticity; staying true to life and the characters. I approach each job with openness, starting with the director’s vision I research and pull references from a myriad of sources, including knowledge from advisers and experts. When selecting locations and building sets, I consider spatial depth and light; using scale, light sources, and color pallets intentionally and clearly to communicate the vision of the Director and DP. Adding layers of texture and detail transforms the set into an environment, and an environment that feels real is viscerally palpable through the performances of the actors and allows freedom for the camera. I love using pre-visual materials (mock-ups, illustrations, and models) for planning and implementing designs, and communicating with my crew and keys from other departments.
